1) Issues Frequently Asked Q & As Related to Rate Reductions

2) July 15 Electronic Health Care Claims Submission
(DHS) has published, “MHCP Provider Update MHP-09-04 Additional E3 Claim Changes for 7/15/09,” to assist providers with the July 15 changes and how they impact MN-ITS. According to Minnesota Statutes 62J.536, on July 15, 2009 providers and group purchasers (payers) must submit and accept Minnesota’s health care claims electronically, using data specifications of Minnesota’s 837 Uniform Companion Guides.
3) DHS adds “Case Mix L”
DHS has released a 16 page bulletin entitled, “Alternative Care Program Allocates Funds for FY 2010.” For providers of alternative care, please note that in addition to provider rate decreases, there will be a reduction in community budget cap for some alternative care participants. This community budget cap, will be referred to as “Case Mix L” and has been reduced to $597. To access the full bulletin, go to:
